6 Bowling Beauties Batter Bosses PRIZE TIME - Marge Stinnett, president of the women's bowling league, hands a prize to Harry Brown as Peggy Williamson looks on. Numerous prizes were passed out during the evening. 'Women Always Win' Holds True Again Win or lose, the women always win. Men have been bemoaning that fact in their homes for generations, but it's just as true on the bowling alley. At least that's the way the women say it worked out during the second annual "Beat the Boss Night," sponsored Sept. 3 by the Duke Women's Bowling League. A week later, the 40 women in the Medical Center Women's Bowling League settled down for serious competition as they began their ninth year of league play. Over the past eight years, bowlers from the league have entered city, state and national tournaments and have cap tured many top awards.
