The facility expanded into a portion of the old Williams ward. .fft ■ ■m u / ■'Xf' #•’ Clinical Chemistry Painters, electricians, plumbers, car penters and a variety of other workmen are on the job around the hospital con tinuing renovation programs. Much of the refurbishing recently completed was part of the million-dollar Renovation I project. The acute care unit, clinical chemistry laboratory, ra diology department and patient photo graphy studio were some of the areas upgraded. The acute care unit, located next to the recovery room on the fourth floor of the hospital, was specially equipped and expanded into a section of the old Williams ward. The clinical chemistry lab, where in patient tests are done, received new ceilings and lighting and the entire area was painted. Air conditioning units were also installed. The laboratory of fice, on the hospital second floor near the Main Entrance Building, was re modeled. Radiology and nuclear medicine also were redone under Renovation I. The old diagnostic X-ray space on the second floor of the hospital was renovated to provide support facilities for the new X-ray area in the Main Entrance Build ing. A film file room and special rounds room for doctors' conferences concern ing X-rays were set up.
