Janet Askew of the staff has taken a leave of absence until November to complete her master's degree thesis Physical Therapy Members of the physical therapy class scheduled to graduate in December have begun their practical rotations in rehabi litation centers, pediatric hospitals, public health departments and general hospitals as part of the requirements for certifi cation in physical therapy. The students are scattered in health care facilities from Pennsylvania to Georgia to gain their clinical experience. Plastic Surgery Miss Shirley Gardner is the new sec retary to Dr. L K. Thompson, 111 Psychiatry Mrs. Diane Evans is the new payroll clerk tor the department. She replaces Mrs. Onie Wells who accepted a position as administrative assistant in the sociology department .... Mrs. Carol Farrell is a new secretary in the psychiatric out patient clinic .... Dr. Louis Cancellaro completed his residency July 1 and was appointed director of training and educa tion at the U. S. Public Health Service, National Institute of Mental Health Re search Center, Lexington, Ky. Public Relations Office Vance Booth Whitfield has joined the PR staff as assistant director .... Miss Barbara Ray is the new secretary in PR Recovery Room Catherine Zarzecki, R. N., has joined the ward staff Reed ward New L. P. N. on the ward is Suzanne Marchand School of Medicine Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cecil are the parents of a son, Jeffrey Curtis, born on July 4.
