HERE GOES OUR 500,000 th DUKI C KI DIT UNION & MONEY TALKS, BUT DOESN'T $MILE—Things aren't really as somber as the participants here might lead you to believe. In fact, Mrs. Toni Phillips and Dr. Charles Roe both have something to be happy about. Mrs. Phillips is manager of the Duke Credit Union which has just passed the $500,000 mark in loans. And Dr. Roe, an associate in pediatrics, was the one whose loan, for a car, brought the Credit Union total to the half-million point. Money for many purposes—from new cars to consoli dation of debts—is available at the Duke Credit Union in Room 01C of the Student Union. The phone number is 6704.
