Blood Drive
Raises $1500
The blood drive for disadvantaged
medical students, sponsored by the medi
cal student government Davison Society,
raised $1,500 by January 1.
During the spring, the drive committee
plans to contact individually the Duke
faculty asking for a pint of blood, or
the equivalent in money, as a contribu
tion to the drive.
All proceeds from the drive will be
used to aid medical students from dis
advantaged backgrounds like the ghetto
black, the Appalachian white, or the
American Indian.
Any student who has not participated
in the drive, or any employe who would
like to demonstrate his support of stu
dents from disadvantaged backgrounds
may still stop in at the Blood Bank to
donate a pint of blood to the drive.
