VA Appoints Musser
Dr. Marc J. Musser, professor of medi
cine at Duke and executive director of
the North Carolina Regional Medical
Program, has been appointed chief med
ical director for the Veterans Admini
stration.
In his new post. Dr. Musser will
direct the largest medical system in the
United States. The VA sponsors some
166 hospitals and 202 outpatient clinics
throughout the country which employ
about 5,000 physicians and 15,000 nur
ses.
A native of Terre Haute, Ind., Dr.
Musser received A. B. and M. D. degrees
from the University of Wisconsin. In
addition to holding several positions in
the VA hospital system, he has served on
the medical faculties of the University of
Wisconsin and the Baylor University Col
lege of Medicine.

In Medical Center
The Duke University Federal Credit
Union has started making its services
more immediately available to personnel
at the Medical Center.
A credit union representative will be
in Room 014A, across from the Carousel
Room, every Wednesday from 9-11 a.m.
and every Thursday from 2-4 p.m.
The credit union also will maintain its
regular office hours of 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Monday-Friday in its main office. Room
01C in the Union Building.
The credit union is a service to Duke
employes, and only Duke employes and
their families may belong. Both savings
deductions and loan-payment deductions
can be made directly from employes'
checks.
