Meet the secretaries at
Southeastern.
The Student Personnel
Services is an asset to all the
students and it is connposed of
the following secretaries; Sue
Davis, Penny Strickland and
Minnie Godwin. Miss Davis has
been working at SCC for the
past three years. She is secretary
to the registrar. Sue graduated
from Evergreen High School and
SCC. She plans to attend
Applachian State University
next year and finish her
education. Her interest are
sewing and the beach. When
asked her opinion of SCC she
replied, "it's come a long ways
since the beginning."
Penny Strickland has worked
at SCC for the past two years.
She is secretary and receptionist
in the student personnel office.
She graduated fronn West
Columbus and SCC in the
Technical Program, She is now
attending SCC at night. Miss
Strickland's pastimes are sewing,
records and going to the beach.
Her opinion of SCC, "it's a great
school, and has a great deal to
offer the students." She also
added that she enjoyed her two
years at SCC.
Minnie Godwin has worked at
SCC for the past 5 years. She is
secretary to the Dean of SPS.
She and her husband Jackie live
at Clarendon and they have one
son Neal. Her husband is
co-ordinator of the PIC at SCC,
She graduated from Cerro Gordo
high school and attended
Campbell College for one year
taking business courses. She
replied, "SCC has done a lot for
the community."
Judy Wilson has been
employed at SCC for one week.
She is secretary to Mrs. Moore,
counselor at SCC. Judy
graduated from Chadbourn High
School and attended Campbell
College. She plans to take some
courses at SCC. Her hobbies are
reading and cooking. She was
also a Miss Columbus County.
Her opinion of SCC was "it has
done a great deal for Columbus
County." She also replied, "I
like the people I work with and
have met."
The Business Office presently
employs four secretaries. They
are JoAnn Sledge, Betty Greene,
Patti Fisher and Barbara Reeves.
Mrs. Sledge has been employed
at see for five years. She is
bookeeper and secretary to the
business manager. She lives at
Woodland Acres in Whiteville.
She and her husband Bill have
two children Robin and Tommy.
Mrs. Sledge graduated from
Acme-Delco High School, and
Presbyterian Junior College in
Laur inburg. Her interest is
sewing.
Kay Formyduval is a library
assistant. She has been employed
for one and one half months.
She graduated from Nakina High
School, SCC, and Appalachian
State University. She plans to go
'fo graduate school next fall. Her
pastimes are dancing, animals,
sewing, and fishing. She also
plays the piano. She said "SCC is
a nice school and I enjoyed
coming to school out here."
Other personal secretaries at
SCC are as follows; Polly Wilson,
Ruth Honeycutt, Karen Hinson,
and Brenda Bowen.
Polly Wilson has been
employed at SCC for three
months. Polly graduated from
Hallsboro High and attended
SCC. She and her husband John
have one son, Tommy. She
works for Mr. Holland, a
counselor at SCC. Mrs. Wilson's
interests are helping young
people, music, sewing and
cooking.
Ruth Honeycutt is switch
board operator at SCC. She has
been working for two years. Mrs.
Honeycutt lives in Whiteville and
has five children Jerome, Linda,
Vickie, Jimi Kay, and Kenneth,
She graduated from Lumberton
High School and attended Peace
College and Hardbargers
Business School. Her pastimes
are eating, playing canasta, and
all sports. Her opinion of SCC is
"it's great and there's no place
like it.
Karen Hinson is the Facaulty
Secretary at SCC. She has been
employed eight months. Karen
graduated from Whiteville High
School. Her interests are
dancing, beach trips, going to
the races, riding in a brown
cougar and J.B. Her lopinion of
SCC is "it's a nice school and a
good place to work."
Brenda Bowen has been
secretary to the president for
four years. Brenda graduated
from Whiteville High And
Selenia Business School, Her
pastimes are the beach, sports
and especially tennis. Her
opinion of SCC is "SCC is a
great place to work and it
consist of fine people.
Betty Greene has been at SCC
for two years, she is a
bookkeeper and secretary in the
business office. She lives in
Chadbourn and is married to
E,W. Greene Jr. Mrs. Greene
graduated from Williams
Township High School and
Carolina College in Florence.
Her pastime is water skiing. Her
opinion of SCC is "it's growing
rapidly each day."
Patti Fisher has been working ^
at SCC for the past three years.
She is a bookkeeper and lives in
Chadbourn.
She graduated from Whiteville
High School, She and her
husband Thomas have two
children Ricky and Reene. Her
interest are sewing and boating.
She said "SCC is a wonderful
place to work and go to school.
Barbara Reeves is also a
bookkeper in the Business
Office. She and her husband
Horace live in Shallotte and they
have three children Michael,
Allison, and Wanda. Mrs. Reaves
graduated from Shallotte High
School, Her pastimes are dining

Technical Vocational. Miss
Todd's interest are reading, road
trips and Rick Smith. When ask
her opinion of SCC she replied,
"there's never a dull moment."
Pat Turner is secretary to the
Dean of College Transfer. She
and her husband Jimmy live at
Fair Bluff. Her pastimes are
sewing, cooking and fishing. Her
opinion of SCC is "things are
always on the go at SCC, and it
is a great school." She has been

motorcycle riding, sewing and

has attended SCC, Her opinion
of SCC is "it's a great school."
Mona Hardee has been
working at SCC for eight
months. She is secretary to the
Dean of Adult Education. She
graduated from Whiteville High
School, and Selenia Business
School. Her interest are playing
the organ, sewing, riding in a
certain red chevelle and Russell.
Her opinion of SCC is "it's a
good school and is growing
academically and the school is
what the students make it."
The two secretaries in the
library are Joyce Griffin, and
Kaye Formyduval. Joyce has
been employed at SCC for one
and one half years. She is
secretary to the librarian. Joyce
graduated from West Columbus
and Selenia Business School. Her
pastimes are cooking, and
listening to music. She replied
"SCC is a terrific place to work
and the people are great to work
^or."
