The Rams dropped their second game of the season to Gaston College, 80-71, after a close scoring duel. Coach Brooks' squad, led by Barry Faity and Jim Crume con trolled the boards and came up with last minute baskets for their win. Ronnie Taylor for SCC led scrimmaging efforts with 25 points, while Ronnie Jones grabbed 16 rebounds for the young Rams. The Southeastern Com munity College Rams took an early game lead to win their opener against the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Frosh in an 89- 63 defeat. Coach Walsh's inex perienced squad proved quite effective, especially in shooting, as they hit over 52 percent of their floor shots.
