March sixteen the Nevele Club met
with Miss Berkley at West Dormitory.
The large reception room was tastefully
decoraterl with spring flowers.
The Club was called to order by
(’hief High Si. Minutes of the lasr
nieetino were read by Chief High Ret
The niinutes corrected, stood approved.
There being no old or new business, th^j
literary program came next. It con
sisted of a very interesting and instruc
tive paper on the life of Ernest Poole,
read by Miss Savnge. The stnd;y of th/
lives of the authoTs, whose books the
club has read has been greatly enjoyed.
Our hostess next introduced us to a
game called “Our 1926 Garden” whieh
proved to hold many surprises for us
If you planted a millionaire the
result was an Astor, a wise man gave
us Sage.
^frs. Frank Corboy succeeded in pro
ducing the most plentiful and al.so most
beautiful “1926 garden.’^ She was pre
sented with a dainty vase for being
such an eflicient gardener.
We that being asked to be a gard
ener at a moment’s notice was a poser,
but here comes a stunt that puts that in
the ])nck ground. We were askod to
model an animal ot bird out of chewing
gum and tooth picks.
It was hard for some of us to remem
ber how many toes a rooster owned, and
when it came to »no*del a bear. Well,
just ask Miss Savage about her bear
She drew the booby prize for it.
There were some real good models.
Miss Fisher’s American Eagle received
first prize.
The time for us to leave for home
ame too soon, I)ut not until after our
ingenious hostess had served ns with a
dainty lunch.
