In the Press Comments for 1925, the New York American applauds Max Rosen for his refined performance and remarks that, temperamentally, he is inclined less to fire, and more to finesse. His music touched the hearts of all those present and his final encore, Souvenir, brought tears to the eyes of the care-free students and caused many cases of home-sickness. The final concert of the series will bo given by Arthur Kraft, noted tenor, on March 7, 1928. Marjorie Moore. HONOR SYSTEM IS STILL INTACT (C. p.) Duke University, Durham, N. C.—In a referendum vote here the Honor System was upheld by a vote of 509 to 232. This ballot was rather surprising since many predicted that the Honor System would be voted out. During the examinations just passed eight cases were reported by students, some thing that is unprecedented here, and more cases than had been reported by students here in the past two years. The shortcomings of the system have been attributed to the lack of knowl edge on the part of freshmen. Already the committee is at work attempting to revise the Honor Code, and very soon officials expect to be' able to report one of the most' effective Honor Systems in the state.
