It was nn enthusiastic meeting and abundant praises srere showered upon the ath- Jcti‘8 for their excellent record during till- season. Mr. J. H. Barker served as toastmaster for the occasion, and the priucipal speaker of the evening was Prof. B. S. Rainey of Biscoe, N. C. 11 is wit and humor contributed greatly to the entertainment. Many of the foutbalt men and atuinnl took part in the general talk-fest following the ban quet. I’rofessor A. R. The query was; Resolved, That the volume and methods of the prescut sys tem of installment buying is economical ly sound. Miss Sebiia Walters, Ruth T)oggett, Elizabeth Slai-k, and Christine Tedler acted as niarshnls. i’rof. Tower, MESSIAH HEARD BY LARGE CROWD Presented by Choral Club. A large and appro-iative audicnce turned out Sunday night to hear Handel’s "Messiah,” It was unusual ly well rendered, mui'1 to the crcdit of I*rof. C. James Vebe, who was the direc’tor. He also san (he tenor solos; Mrs. Grace Hall Riheldoffcr, with her usual charni and ph-asiug voice, sang the 80])rano solos. Prof. David Brown ilarrell presirled at the organ, while Walhn'e King accompanied at the pisino. These people had as a back ground for their special features, a chorus that had worked rliligently to make the Messiah a success. The Messiah is the first program which has been g'v-ii, that had even hinted that the glorious Christmas time is knocking at our door. Josh, hui-Keeper—Ralph Coggiii Tlic Kappa Psi Nu Fraternity through the efforts of their Alumni, and with the cooperation of the entire Fraternity, are going to be hosts to the ‘-E” meu of the 1929 football team on Friday night. Tli- meuibers of the fraternity feel that the footbai men, aided by the uanfiiig euorts 01 ineir coach, have done so much for Elon that they are worthy of recognition. The 1929 team has been a winning team, but the fact that they have played a clean game and have showed the true Elon spirit, is the reason that the Kappa Psi Nu men wish to pay them this tribute. It is the aim of the Frats to make this an annual affair. The management of the Carolina Thcntre has also recognized the merits of the team and have very cordially invited the football men to be their guests on Friday night.
