The Maroon and Gold lost to all the teams except Atlantic Chris tian and gained a split with Appa lachian in the last game of the sea son. Elon played several Army teams last year but to date the only service outfit scheduled is the Flying Safety team. The squad at present has been pared to 14 men so that Coach Adcox may get a better idea of just what lie has to work with. It is expected tliat there will be several basketball players among the veterans who enter s;-4iool next quarter. 305 W. Everyone will be glad to hear that the girls will begin to play basket ball as soon as we get back from the Thanksgiving vacation. These will inly be practice games, for the real j season doesn’t start until after the j Christmas holidays, but it is some thing to be looking forward to w'ltU eagerness. If there is as much enthu siasm displayed toward basketball in proportion to it’s popularity as there? an toward volleyball, we really should see some good games. It will be a time for the Freshmen to show what kind of ball players they arc, also. Refresher course I h BOmED UNOEH AUTHORITY Ot THE COCA-COIA CO«f*NV »» Burlington Coca-Cola Bottling Co..
