Amundsen allowed five hits during his stay on the mound, but he held the Indians to two runs, only one of which was earned. No other Christian came within fifty points of those two leaders, and the Elon squad as a whole batted only .216 for the season. Jimmy Freisinger, who played both shortstop and second base, paced the team in RBI’s with 14 runners batted home. He was pushed by Mike Spil lane and Taylor Duggins, each of whom batted 10 mates over the plate. Jimmie Freisinger led the team in homers with three, while Danny Pen- dry led in triples with two and in doubles with four to lead those two categories. Chris Pecora, freshman pitcher, ap peared on the mound in 13 of Elon’s 28 games and got credit for three wins. Other winning pitchers were Paul Amundsen with two, and Steve Bird, Joe Byrtus and Richard You- mans, each with one victory.
