A science major from Sil ver Spring, Md., Batchel- dor, has been active in committee work in the Student Government As sociation, having served as a member of the Or ientation Cotimittee and of the Outstanding Pro fessor Committee. He is a member of Sigma Phi Beta Fraternity. MURIEL COLE — A senior French major from Centerville, Mass., Muriel Cole has also been active in committee work with the Student Govern ment Association. She is a member ofTauZeta Phi Sorority. SUSAN HEATWOLE — A senior English major from Richmond, Va., Su san Heatwole, has had a varied campus career. She was secretary - trea surer of her sophomore class, has been a mem ber of the Homecoming Court, a member of the Student Senate, a mem ber of the Women’s Inter- Dorm Council, art and layout editor and later Editor-in-Chief for Phi Psi Cli and a member of both the Campus Af fairs Committee and the Entertainment Commit tee of the Student Govern ment Association. She is a member of PI Kappa Tau Sorority. GEORGE HUGHES— A senior history major from Wilmington, Del., George Hughes has ser ved as chief justice of the Honor Court and is president of the Elon chapter of Tau Kappa Ep silon Fraternity, having taken a leading ,role in obtaining a national char ter for the chapter here. LESLIE JAMES — A junior elementary educa tion major from Roxboro, Leslie James has served as a varsity cheerleader and also as a sponsor and member of the Home coming Court. She is a member of Tau Zeta Phi Sorority. DENNY McGUIRE — A senior social science ma jor from Montvale, N.J., Denny McGuire has ser ved as a member of the Honor Court and as chair man of the Student Gov ernment’s Board of Elec tions. She is a member of Pi Gamma Mu honor society in the field of so cial science, CAROL McKINNEY — A senior history major from Bakersville, Carol McKinney is a member of the Elon chapter of Alpha Chi, national hon orary academic society, and also of Pi Gamma Mu, national honorary group in the field of social sci ence. She has also ser ved as a member of the Contemporary Affairs Committee of the Student Government. She is a member of Beta Om’cron Beta Sorority.
