White, presented its win ter concert Tuesday, Dec, 9 at 8 p.m. in Whitley Auditorium. Included on the pro gram were Osterling’s ‘Constitution State”, Haydn’s “Oxford Sym phony”, Persechetti’s ‘Serenade For Band” and “Overture in B Flat” by Giovanivini. Also, “His Honor” by Fillmore, “Thunderbird” by Erick son, “The Sussex Mum mers Christmas Carols by Grainger and “Christ mas Music for Winds by Cacavas, Members of the concert band include Susan Pell, Pris Spoon, Janice Bump, Mary Ann Swartout, Lou Parker, Cliff Karnes, Donna Kerkow, Cynthia Coker, Keith Cole, Jim Fogle, Charles Berry man, Ed Thomas, and Randy Glass, Fast For UNICEF The Mathatians, a Christian Fellowship group, received a $98 check from Slater Food Service and $28.53 in con tributions for their Thanksgiving Fast for UNICEF held on Novem ber 14, announced Larry Sage, president. The Mathatians wish to thank all those who par ticipated in the Fast and those who contributed money to help make the Fast successful. Special re ports, new bills, and an nouncements were pre sented. A letter from Dean Berry was read concern ing the problem of the damanged telephones in Smith Dorm, The Tele phone company has threatened to remove all the telephones in the dorm if the abuse is continued. Lee Loy has formed a Committee on Commit tees that will check all other committees. This committee is designed to give the students confi dence concerning the committees’ work. New bills were pre sented by the class se nators. Rumors began to mount as students viewed the lone statue. When observ ed closely the engraving read: “FlyingCickleFin ger of Fate.” The statue cs presented weekly by the TV show “Laugh-In”. A bill was passed to have Sandy Newton as chairman of the Spring Weekend. The last bill passed concerned a bond of $10,- 000 which will cover SGA officers. This bond will cost the SGA $75.
