Preregistration to begin soon
The time has come again
for pre-registration for the
summer and fall semesters
1979. The registrar’s office
has released the pre-registra-
tion guide for Elon students.
Each student is required to
meet with his adviser before
his assigned pre-registration
day to discuss his academic
program and select courses to
be taken during the summer
and fall semest^s. Pre-regis
tration begins April 4-6 and
continues April 9-10.

quality college education has
become a necessity in pre
paring young adults for the
challenges of “the working
world.” With prices for
everything from food to fuel
constantly rising, institutions
of higher learning must strive
to remain affordable. To
date, Elon College has one of
the lowest tuition rates per
student for private institutions
in North Carolina — only
Atlantic Christian College has
a lowBr rate.

an electric switching station
on the site of the car wash in
Elon College.
The electric switching sta
tion is an advanced form of
relaying calls. Giving your
number to the operator each
time a long-distance call is
placed will be eliminated with
this system. Other advantages
will be the possibility of many

TKE Fraternity, in co -
operation with the Burlington
Lions Club, is sponsoring an
eye bank that involves dona
tion of eyes at death. The
donations started yesterday
and are running through to
day in the lower lobby of
Long Student Center. Last
year more than 300 donations
were made by students and
faculty.
Slave auction
Pi Kappa Phi will conduct
a “slave - auction” 9:30 a.m.
April 5 in the Main Quad.
Fraternity brothers sold will
donate four hours to their
“masters.” Funds raised will
go toward the fraternity’s
general fund.
