On Oct. 27 Elon played •elmont-Abby in an away >atch which ended in a 2-2 Coach Steve Ballard **d, “We out played four this year, but they ither ended in a tie or we them at the end.” Because the Fightin’ •nristians lost to UNC- ^heviiie and Atlantic ^nstian and only tied High omt Md Pfeiffer, they wiU join those four in the layoffs. Pam Moor* law had eight spike ace attacks. Coach Karen Car den said, “Pam, Dee Dee and Rhonda Penson all played a very good defensive match.” In the second game against Christopher New port, Elon won with a 15-4, 15-1 decision. In thb game Moore served all of the teams 15 winning points. Faith Pitts added seven ace spike attacks to her credit. The Golden Girls traveled to the Carolinas Conference Tournament on Oct. 29, which was played in Wilson. In the flrst round of play, Elon lost to Guilford in a hard fought 15-9, 16-14, 15-12 decision match. This caused them not to go to the district tournament which will be played on Nov. 6.
