Classes will be held on April 8 and Deans Christopher White and William G. Long ask that all possible consideration be given to the special problem which this will present to members of fraternities and sororities participating in Greek Weekend. Pi Gamma Mu There will be a meeting for all Pi Gamma Mu members today at 3:30 p.m. in Powell 206. New members will be inducted, and plans for a spring speaker wiU be discussed. Spring Worship Service The Rev. David Joyce will be speaking at this year’s Annual Spring Worship Service, to be held on April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Whitley Auditorium. Joyce is a former assistant dean of student affairs at Elon and presently serves as chaplain for Pfeiffer College. A reception will follow the service in West Parlor. CROP Fast The Religious Life Committee would like to thank all who are participating in this year’s CROP fast, which ends at 5:30 p.m. today. Chaplain Bill Sharpe, Dr. Carole Chase, and Sister Laura Hardage will conduct a worship service and celebration of The Lord’s Supper at 5 p.m. in the Large Lounge of the Long Student Center. All are invited. The committee would also like to remind everyone who is fasting that it is his or her responsibility to collect the money pledged. Please turn in your money to any member of the committee or to the Chaplain’s Office, 102 Whitely, by April 15. Housing Lottery All current resident students who are interested in living on campus next year must pay a $75 deposit in the Cashier’s Office, Alamance 111, by April 8. Receipts must be brought to the Office of Student Affairs on either April 11 or 12 to be be eligible for the housing lottery scheduled for April 24. All students registered for the lottery must be present on April 24 in the Alumni Gym at the prescribed ^es in order to sign up for a space on campus. Please contact your area coordinator, resident assistant, or Dean Klepcyk in Alamance 120 if you have any questions. How Was Your Spring Break? The yearbook staff wants the world to know how Elon students partied or lounged during the break. The staff is looking for one article about 200 words long and as many pictures as you would like to submit. Black and white or color pictures will be accepted. Not all will be used, but all •ill be returned. Come by the Phi Psi Cli office Tuesdays or Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. If no one is •here, slide the submissions under the door with your name and number. Preregistration See your advisers immediately if you haven’t already. Preregistration is this week and everyone needs to have planned their schedules for the coming summer and fall terms with their advisers. Ar^ assistants serve as administrative assisumts to the area coordinator. An pperclassman holds the position and lives in the residence hall area. The job’s remuneration is room and board, outstanding payments due. Beginning next year, their responsibiUties will incluae many duties. They must supervise monthly health and safety checks, supervise maintenance of the check-in/ check-out process, and supervise room changes throughout the year. They will coordinate all maintenance requests for the residence area, and will assist in the coverage of the entire area. Each assistant must complete one program per semester, must be available in the Area Office 10 hours each week, and are responsible for duties assigned by the area coordinator.
