Elon has 11 new full-time
acuity members, nine new
)art-time faculty, and 11 new
ull-time staff members.
Accepting positions as assis-
ant professors of economics

Robert Beresford Williams.
Joining the Department of
Sociology as an assistant pro
fessor is Laurence A. Basirico.
James Albert Carpenter will
be a full-time instructor in
Mathematics and Computer In
formation Science. Also joining
this department as part-time
faculty members are Stephen
F. Buff, instructor in Computer
Information Science, and Jani-
ca Little Richardson, instructor
in Mathematics.
Kathleen Metzger McNames
has accepted a full-time in
structor’s position in business
administration and accounting.
A new part-time instructor in
business administration is
Pamela S. Wainscott, who will
also teach mathematics.
Katherine T, Wallace-Casey
joins the staff as a full-time
assistant professor of foreign
languages. Also in that depart
ment, Gerardo Rodriguez, who
served as a part-time assistant
professor of Spanish last year,
will have full-time assistant
professor status this year.
New part-time faculty in

tion are Fleta H. Carmen and

Other new full-time faculty

Also, Dr. James A. Moncure,

academic and student affairs,
will begin full-time teaching
duties this fall as a professor of
history.
The psychology department
gains a new part-time assistant
professor, Wesley D. Hood. Also
joining Elon on a part-time
basis are Richard D. Kiser, in
structor in human services;
Melinda H. Lamb, assistant pro
fessor of English; and Robert
Joseph Peace, professor of
allied health.
Elon will have five new full
time administrative staff mem
bers this fall. Theresa V. Pp'-
muszewski and Andrew L. Min-
nis have been appointed resi
dence area coordinators on the
Student Affairs staff Prymus-
zewski will be area coordinator
' of West Area. Minnis will be
area coordinator of the New
Area. Both have additional
duties as assistant directors of
career planning and place
ment.
James K. Phillips will serve
as director of campus safety
and security. Capt. Walter C.
Joyce Jr. and Capt. Kenneth E.
Webber will join the Elon Col
lege staff in the military scien-
