set drama
Come Back Little Sheba by William Inge will be
performed by the Gallery Players this weekend at
the Paramount Theatre on 128 E. Front St
This classical drama revolves around the lives of
Doc (Lloyd Skinner), a middle-aged chiropractor,
who had to quit medical school to marry his frowsy
wife Lola (Thelma Cousins), who lives her life dwell
ing in the past
Doc, a reformed alcoholic, and Lola take in a col
lege female border, Marie (Randi Kemp) to make
ends meet Doc takes to the bottle again when he
sees Marie playing fast and loose with Turk (Jeff
Pierce), a college athlete, forgetting her trustful
financee. Bruce, in Cincinnati.
Doc then returns home and erupts into an avalan
che of furry.
Come Back Little Sbeba is directed by Susan Metz
of Greensboro and concludes performances this
weekend on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:15 p.m.
and Sunday at 2:15 p.m.
