Page i The Pendulum •? ii h c i >r r If .t Editorials TKursday, April 16 Hello, this is your new editor Frankly Speaking speaking Well, Elon has appointed a new Pendulum Editor and this time I’m afraid it’s me. I am glad that I have the opportunity to be editor. My goal for the next year will be to give the Elon student body, faculty, and staff, the information they want to read about. I want to print what you want to know. I will always be open for suggestions. If there are any ideas that you have, about the paper or any certain articles that you want printed, please let me know. This is a college newspaper and I believe the college should be involved in every aspect of It. If you want to voice your opinion about any subject that may relate to the paper, or the campus, then 1^ all means send a letter to the editor, me. The one thing that I ask, is please sign and print your name at the end of the letter. I also hope to see letters from the faculty and staff of Elon. Your opinions are just as important as the students. Wbrking for the Pendulum has given me valuable experience in the journalism field. Working here can also give any of you students experience as well. You don’t have to be a Journalism major or a Mass Communication major to work here. Reporting jobs are available to anyone that has an interest in writing or reporting. Working here can also give you the opportunity to meet and talk with other students and faculty that you may have never gotten the chance to meet. We plan to put out a fectual and informative paper each week and I hope that it will meet everyones standards. I hope to gain more knowledge about this field and I hope that what I learn here will help me later. If there is something you don’t like about the paper or my style of editing then please let me know about it. Your new editor - John Hoyle BLOOM COUNTY f'I;jj:tri h ■I i ■ M .
