Dr. Bob Delp, rofessor of history here since 6, is retiring from the faculty. The others are Dr. Paul ravender, Gayle Fishel, Kathleen IciNaince, Dr. Bob Nowell, Todd Ison, Dr. Bob Williams and Dr. 1 Wood. Fishel, a graduate of Elon and Awards assistant director of Publications, has worked here for six and one- half years. Fishel said her plans are not definite, but that she’s leaning toward a job in commer cial art somewhere in this area. McNamee, an instructor in ac counting and business administra tion since 1983, will be moving to Albuquerque, N. M., with her husband, who will teach accoun ting at the University of New Mexico next year. McNamee herself will enroll as a student in architecture at the university. Nowell, an assistant professor of journalism and mass com munication, has taught and serv ed as adviser to The Pendulum since 1981. He will be an assistant professor of management and will aid in the economic development of small towns as he helps them plan how to attract new businesses. “I‘ll miss a lot of very wonder ful people here,” said Wood. Olson also said that he regreted leaving Elon.“There was so much potential with the Fine Arts building and the student involve ment. ” Fishel said this area was rather lacking in artistic events and that she is looking foward to moving to a community where there are other artists.
