"She just pulkul it out for no reason, I heard that she said she wanted to see what it meant” The bandana is a symbol worn by the members of Kappa Alpha that has no racial significance. According to Moore, she was curious to what the bandana symbolized and wondered what would happen if she pulled it out. After the incident, the two had words and Russell left On November 18, the KKK card was found underneath the door of Moore’s room. The card said, "You have been paid a social visit by the KKK. Don't make the next visit a business call!” "I came home from work and saw the card on my desk, I asked my roommate where did the card come from and she told me that she saw it when she she came into the room," Moore said. "I knew immediately who the card was from.” ”It was just an impulse thing,” Russell said. ”I didn’t realize what the card actually said, I didn't stop to read it." After receiving the card, Moore went to her RA and told her what had happened. "After 1 told my RA I called some of my friends. Then I was told to contact Jana Lynn Patterson," Moore said.
