The presidential race comes to Elon

i4s the 1992 presidential campaign is
binding down and election day is just
Ground the corner, the presidential
candidates have been making last
efforts to attract voters.
For both President Bush and
presidentialhopeful Bill Clinton, votes
from southern states are important ones,
^hus the recent rush of visits to North
Carolina. Both Bush and Clinton have
traveled the state hitting handfuls of
cities per day.
Burlington was one of many
scheduled stops for President Bush
during his whistle-stop tour last week.
Elon College was a more spontaneous
stop for Clinton, already stopping in
cities close to the north and south of the
college town.
