The senior class donation will help the Globe in its reconstruction project and in return, Elon will rcceive its own recognition. Buried under the new theatre will be a time capsule filled with Elon memorabilia and the senior class will also have a plaque inside the iheatfe. “Elon will be one of the very first American colleges to donate to this project,” McKcone said. “This will provide international connections for Elon and help the Globe, while becoming a •pern^ancnt part of history.” The senior gift is two-fold, also including a donation to a room in the new student center. Seniors are being asked to donate $100 over a four-year period, which will include them in the young alumnus group, the Fonville Fountain Society. Each year for four years the graduates will receive a gift of appreciation from the society for their donation. “They obviously loved the college if they stayed here for four years,” McKcone said. “This is something every senior should do.” Martin ■ From Page I shaped his life and guided his decisions,” McBride said. Martin’s address will be unique bccause the feature speaker is usually a member of the clergy. “By virtue of [Martin’s] life we have the understanding of his spiritual sensitivities,” McBride said. The service will also feature the Elon College Choir directed by Jonathan Green, as well as reOections from senior class president Michelle Scott. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and organizers arc expecting the church to be full. “We promote (baccalaurcate) heavily to the seniors, faculty, and staff," McBride said. “And we try to encourage people to take this last moment to honor their relationships.” Marlin served two terms as governor of North Carolina, frotn- 1984 to 1992.
