Intramural soccer has poor turnout Erick Gill The Pendulum After a. long drawn out season, intramural outdoor soccer is finally over.' The season was stretched out due to Greek Week and Spring Break. Out of nine men's teams and seven women's teams the championship tournament lacked luster. Only three teams turned out for the tournament last weekend, the Zoomers, Runnin' Rednecks and the Righteous Bros. In the women's league, last semester's champions, the Zoomers repeated by forfeit. The Zoomers were unchallenged all the way to the championship. Tougher teams like Alpha Xi Delta, who were undefeated, did not even show up. The men's league was divided into two brackets. With the Runnin' Rednecks in one bracket and the Righteous Brothers in the other. Both teams received forfeits up until the final. The championship game was scheduled to be played, on Saturday: however, both teams had trouble getting players together, so the game was postponed to Wednesday. The Righteous Bros, kicked off the game hard and strong. The Righteous Bros, scored eiu-ly in the first half with a goal that caught the bottom left hand Conner. A second goal in the second half sealed the game for the Righteous Bros. Throughout the rest of the game, the Rednecks could not get their offense together to score. While one returning championship team, the Zoomers, was able to repeat, the other returning champs, Runnin' Rednecks, were cut short by the undefeated Righteous Bros. 24 HOUR RCC€SS Computer Controlled 382 Ul.
