September 23, 1993 Page 4 Order From Page 2 of a small country out East somewhere? In a very violent scction of this world peace has r.iade its prcscnce felt. On a national level the lesson is “peace through strength”. If Bill doesn’t screw up, this could be the dawn of a new era for all of mankind. That will be the legacy of the Reagan- Bush era. ARA From Page 1 “We tell them we’re going to work it out-we’11 handle it.” The new hours keep the doors open to students at McEwen from 7 a.m. until 7:45 p.m. “We’re only really closed for one half hour a day during the week,” said Jeff Gozda, director of dining services for the college. The Varsity Grill hours have also been extended from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Susie Gemer, night manager at 'the Grill, said that hours combined with the new foods served will improve business. ARA has brought in Healthy Choice Meats, which are lower in fat than most meats, for the dining halls and the Grill. Healthy Choice is a brand name that may gain popularity among students and faculty. Additionally, the dining halls have a Healthy Choice line and offer foods low in fat, such as Columbo yogurt. Gozda said fat and calorie count “and even recipes” arc available to students who are concerned about the food contents. Gozda said that if the food court designs for the new student center work out the way ARA and Elon College are planning, “ a Chick-Fil-A will be definitely franchised.” “Solo pizza, rcach-in drinks, Ben and Jerry’s, Dunkin Donuts and a Healthy Choice Deli are possibilities,” said Gazda. With the new center may come a new Elon Card. Gozda^ said there is talk about tumingi the Elon Card into a type of dining or credit card. Once the construction is completed more eating facilities and options will be available to students. The Elon Card could become strictly a dining card but nothing is finalized. - COUPON - *1|0PFF OUR DATLY LUNdH SPECIALl Special Includes Sandwich; Salad or Soup, Dessert and Beverage ■ ' Featuring Honey Cured'Ham & Cheese • Corned Beef ., -. • Roast Beef • Pastrami • Salami • PeppeVcorh Turkey'” • Smoked "Honey Lite” Turkey • Roast & Herbal Turkey ' • Ham Salad • Chicken Salad • Tuna Salad • Seafood Salad OFFER GOOD WITHJ^OU^QN ONLY j^ONEY GLAZED and SPIRAL'SLICED S44 Huflnwn MIR vm*M HuHin»n Mn Rd., ■urilngloii Men.-Frt 1M Sal 104 1-80(M73-HAMS 584^1a18 FAX 584-9669 POSIIIVE HfluE 1066 S.
