Elon Briefs SGA Agenda The Student Government Association (SGA) will be voting on changes to Amendment XI of the SGA Constitution at the Feb. 25 meeting. Amendment XI governs the procedure of impeachment for ex ecutive officers and senators. The changes include clarifi cation of the notification timeline, the role of the accused senator or executive during the impeachment process and the transfer of power in making the final impeachment de cision from the Judicial Committee to the Senate. The changes are being pro posed by Eric Hurwitt, Judicial Committee Chair, and come in the wake of three impeachment pro ceedings in the SGA in two years. “Changing the impeachment process is really important,” Hurwitt said. “It is a change that I hope to see take place before I graduate.” The version being presented at the Thursday meeting comes af ter the changes initially proposed at the Feb. 11 meeting were voted down by the Senate. “I believe that this new amendment addresses the concerns raised two weeks ago,” Hurwitt said. The SGA meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. in Moseley 215. ICBL speaker visits Elon Loung Ung is coming to Elon on March 3 to give a presentation entitled “Wars end.
