the Junior Class Officers
President: Hillary Sherman is a biology major from Asheville, NC who wants to help SGA work for the
students by listening to students and Wants to improve Elon for the Juniors and those to come. Hillary is
working for Elon students in order to give back to the community and to address the needs and concers

Vice President: Cassie Kirby-Smith is a biology major from Beaufort, NC who wants to help SGA become an
organization that the students can count on to represent their interest and concerns while here at Elon, She is
trying to help Elon students by informating them of the activities and forums on campus. She is also available to
help answer students’ questions and to try to resolve problems that the students might have, you can reach her by

Secretary/Treasurer: Josh Davis is a film and broadcast communications major from Trinity, NC who
wants to focus SGA activities and concerns around the needs of the students. He is also on the Public

Senator: Sarah Aurigemma is psychology major with minors in criminal justice, political science and public
administration from Charlotte, NC. Her goals for SGA are to imporve communication between SGA, the stu
dents, their parents and the faculty of Elon. She is involved with Alpha Omicron Pi and the Isabella Cannon

Senator: Janell Otis is a Corporate Communications major from Montpelier, VT. Her goals for SGA are
to listen to the students’ needs and find ways to work towards positive solutions. She is working for Elon

Senator: Katie Sullivan is a political science and corporate communications major from Cincinnati, OH. Her
goals for SGA are to help the students express their needs and ideas, while improving communication and work
ing to promote SGA throughout the campus. She is working for Elon to help its students to be more informed

RESOLUTION
In the Student Senate

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE HOURS OF OPERATION OF
THE ELON COLLEGE LIBRARY
WHEREAS: Sunday through Thursday the Elon College Library closes at 1 am, and;
WHEREAS: Many students have voiced their wishes and needs, and;
WHEREAS: Many students will benefit academically from exteding the library hours,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
ARTICLE I: The Elon College Student Government Association urges the COllege to extend the hours of operation of the library.
ARTICLE II: The closing time should be extended by oune hour; closing the library at 2am on Sunday through Thursday.
