Fall Choral Showcase: Elon’s Chorale,
Camerata, Percussion Ensemble and Alumni
Whitley Auditorium, 7:30 p.m
Conductor Stephen A. Futrell will direct selections from
the African Sanctus and the St. Frances Mass of the
Americas with percussion ensemble. Elon College Choir
alumni are invited to join the choirs on several pieces,
including Aaron Copland’s The Promise of Living.

Gospel Choir Homecoming Celebration

Gospel Choir alumni will join current members for an
informal worship service.

presents a traditional Sunday Afternoon in the Park

Five people selected by the Class of 2004 will be
recoginized for service to their communities and commit
ment to the comon goal. Sponsored by the Chaplain’s
Office and the Freshman class officers.

Jeannie Roberts, Australian Aboriginal
Women and Culture: Contact, Conflict and
Reconciliation
Isabella Cannon Room, 7 p.m.
Jeannie Roberts, M.E., Fulbright Scholar at Elon this fall
and director of indigenous research at Curtin University’s
Aboriginal Studeis Center in Perth, Australia, will discuss
issues. She is one of the Nykina People of the West
Kimberly regionof Western Australia. Sponsored by the
Women’s Gender Studies program.
