Tempers get short, and argu ments grow heated for these twelve jurors as they re-examine the case, each revealing their own character in the process. Reservations recommended: $10 or Elon ID. McEwen Jr. Visual Arts Series Fernandez will be displaying a selection of his photographs made over the last thirty years. Subject matter ranges from portraits of emotionally disturbed children and racetrack gamblers to abstract environmental pieces. On exhibit October 6 through November 5. Tuesday, October 30 Pianist Leon Bates, recital Whitley Auditorium, 7:30 p.m. One of America's leading pianists, Leon Bates has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cleve land Symphony, the New York Phil harmonic, the Los Angeles Philhar monic, the San Francisco Symphony and the Atlanta Symphony. In Europe he has performed with the Vienna Symphony, the Basel Symphony, the Radio Orchestra of Dublin and the Strasbourg Symphony. This perfor mance is supported by the Pennsyl vania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Common wealth of Pennsylvania, and the Na tional Endowment for the Arts, a fed eral agency.
