Arts & Entertainment Nov. 2001 Page 18 Welcomrio ELONIA by Ty Vrabel Finally, the Jester has returned from his vacation to absolutely no where. As it turned out, everyone knew where he was, but it was just never written down. Anyway, so what has happened? Outside the window, the trees were beginning to shed their fall coats so they could be naked all winter. Strange, that should happen, thought the Jester. He thought it would be the other way around. Back in Bahston, the coats would at least change colors before they’d fall! Yet the Jester knew what it meant and could only think one thing: “Let it snow, let it snow!” Sadly, unlike home, he heard Elonia did not get much snow at all. Making a snowman would be out of the question. Away from the weather, the Jester may have made a very star tling improvement to the ballfoot team. How is that? Well, while sit ting outside of the Smith Emporium, on a cold Elonia day, tourists walked along the magical brick road. Some how, the Jester cracked a smile, and thinking of the Elonia ballfoot team, he screamed, “Come to Elonia, we need you!” With that, he was sure they would all come. He is still awaiting the thank you from the tour guide. Well so much else has happened, from bonfires outside of the Smith Emporium to keep warm, to ballbase players wearing thongs and sports bras to keep cold, to even the intramural soccer league starting. Speaking of, look for No. 6 on team. Top Gun, his name is Jester. That team, I hear, is just awesome. Yet, there are other things besides \ ballfoot to discuss. Like back home in Bahston, not only are they on their feet because the D’backs are up in the series against the putrid Yankees, but they are also celebrating Hal loween just like we are here.
