Alpha Phi Omega—It is National Service Week and our chapter is holding a book drive for children in the Philipines until Nov. 2. We are expecting donations of school-age books. The Arc—WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! The ARC, a program that raises aware ness about people with dis abilities, needs you to volun teer for a dance held on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. We need you to help serve re freshments, dance with the people and show them we care! For more information, or to sign up, call the EV! of fice at x7250 or stop by Moseley 230. Boys and Girls Club— The Boy and Girls Club is seeking current and new vol unteers! On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Ward Octa gon there will be a meeting in which participants can share and hear volunteer ex periences, ask questions and become involved! For more information, contact EV! At x7250 or stop by Moseley 230. Cheer/Dance try-outs - Nov. 15, East Gym. 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Bases and flyers are needed for the all-female team. Flyers needed for the co-ed team (Must have back handspring for co-ed team consideration) Dance team - experience a must. Call 324-6117 for more informa tion. Crossroads— Wednes day, Nov. 7, Crossroads will host a sexual assault re sponse and resource center seminar from 8-9 p.m. in Moseley 217. This seminar is designed to inform all who are interested in the agency as well as educate, motivate and involve Elon students in rape and sexual assault pre vention and awareness. Fitness Special—The an nual Fitness special event is back! CARDIO CONQUEST runs from Monday, Oct. to Fri day, Nov. 15 and challenges the students, faculty and staff to stay fit this fall. This pro gram takes place on an indi vidual basis in the upstairs fit ness center. Get in teams of 4 and “Go For The Gold” in the Cardio Olympics by re cording your individual work outs to reach a combined team goal. Sign up in the fit ness center TODAY! Food Drive— From Nov. 12-16 there will be a food drive in Moseley from 11a.m. - 5 p.m. for hunger aware ness week. Please donate canned food items and help fight world hunger!! Intervarsity Christian Fel lowship—Please join us on Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in down stairs McEwen for Large Group. Come ready for some fun and good times as we worship and fellowship to gether. • Kopper Top—On Wednes day, Nov. 7 there will be a Kopper Top volunteer meeting at 8 p.m. in Ward Octagon for new as well as current volun teers. Hope to see you there! Lambda Chi Alpha— Thank you to everyone that participated in Pumkinfestthis weekend. We raised a lot of canned food for the North American can food drive and we hope you all had fun! Oxfam— On Sunday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Isabella Cannon room in Model, the Oxfam Dinner Banquet will be held in honor of hunger awareness week. The ban quet is designed to simulate the different levels of poverty and hunger through the dis tribution of food as well as raise awareness about worldwide hunger. Everyone is invited to attend! Phi Psi Cli—Yearbook por trait days are coming up! Get your picture taken for the yearbook on Nov. 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. in downstairs Moseley. Senior photographs will be in color this year. Don’t miss your chance to be pictured in the first University book at Elon! Pi Kappa Phi—PI IN THE FACE was amazing! Thanks to everyone for coming out.
