The Pendulum Thursday, September 19, 2002 #Page 9 Diverse fashion, dancing iiits at festivai Staff Report The International Festival held Sunday in Moseley Center celebrated diversity by hosting dances from several countries, including Iran, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia and other countries in northern Africa and Latin America. Three dance companies per formed, adding to the cultural flavor of the celebration. An eight-piece Latin band per formed Latin jazz, salsa, rock and other traditional styles. A ballet dancer from Morocco performed. Dancing took place in the Zone before festivities moved to McKinnon Hall, where dancers taught salsa and meringue moves. Then Intercultural Relations Club held a fashion show exhibiting fashion from Vietnam and Thailand.
