According to CNN.com, the headsy couch is being developed by scientists at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. It contains sensors in each leg to who’s sitting down based on that person’s weight. As of now, the sofa will only personally greet the person who sits down, but Mads Haahr, a researcher working on the couch envisions more for his project. In the future, the couch may turn on appliances, set the room temperature to a person’s comfort, or even play the stereo. “The greater context is that you can build functionality into computers that allow them to be part of everyday objects and help us in ways that we won’t even notice,” Haahr said. In Amlsh country, feds uncover illegal immigrant smuggling ring CLEVELAND, Ohio - According to a report from CNN.com, federal investigators found a smuggling ring that transported hundreds of illegal immigrants from Guatemala and Mexico in Ohio’s largest Amish community that had been operating for months. Garcia-Mendez and Sandoval pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the transportation of illegal aliens. Ramirez-Vasquez pleaded guilty to transportation of illegal aliens, according to U.S. Attorney Phillip Tripi. The three do face prison terms. Holmes County, the location of the Amish community, is believed to house the world’s largest constituency of Amish.
