Why do stu dents spend hours - of work on their projects and presentations to pro duce something mediocre? Do you want to sit through a boring PowerPoint or poster presentation — or even worse — be the presen ter? No? To spice up your next presentation, take advantage of Elon’s technological resources. ■ Media Services, located in Belk 101 (next to the circulation desk), can help you master those tough projects and presentations by turning bits and pieces of work into an “A” piece. The student workers provide technology sup port to faculty and students to aid in creating technological approaches and solutions for teaching and learning. Basically, they help make presentations exciting and worthwhile. Bring an idea, some information and mate rials and consult a Media Services’ employee. Within 48 hours, a quality proj ect will be completed. Their pro duction serv ices range from large postere to transparencies to slides to DVD and CD duplication. Presentation equipment such as projectors, lap tops and much more can also be borrowed for your presentation. So, before you turn in that plain text and basic clip art PowerPoint presentation or use transparencies and black and white copies, head over to Media Services and spice up your hard work. What students can access from Media Service: Three-Hour Equipment Laptop Computers Data Projectors Digital Cameras Zip Drives (250 MB and 750 MB) Mini DV Cameras Fenders The late fee is $5-00 for the first day for EACH piece of equipment and $10.00 per day until the equipment is returned. If a student owes a fine, under no circumstances are they allowed to check out other equipment. *Any person requesting equipment for every class period during a semester will only be allowed to make reservations one month in advance. Two-Day Equipment Equipment cannot be reserved. Availability is based on a first come, first serve basis. Film Projectors, Overhead Projector, Slide Projectors, Opaque Projectors, Portable Projection Screen, Record Players, Tape Players, TV/VCR, Cassette Records, Boom Boxes, Flip Chart, Microphones, Powermates, Easels (class period only) and a Portable PA. The late fee U $0.50 per day for EACH piece of equipment until the equipment is returned. If a student owes a fine, under no circum stances IS he or she allowed to check out other equipment.
