Along with producmg the album, Sirnon was the recording engineer and edited half the tracks on the album. The first of four recording sessions occurred in March 2005 and the last was in October. Each weekend consisted of four 12-15 hour days in the studio. With the help of Bryan Baker, Elon’s senior audio producer. Twisted Measure was able to record the entire album in the Elon University recording studio. After the songs were recorded and edited, they were taken by student pro ducer Brian Hecker to Raleigh to be mixed. The mixing took place with award-winning a cappella producer Dave Sperandio of Divorce Inc. Hecker drove to Raleigh twice a week in order to mix and master the CD with Sperandio. “We decided to take more paying aiss raise our concert prices and we even decided to go on fall break tours m order to raise money, which have also proven to be a lot of fun,” Senior Jenny Freeman said. Along with these gigs, Piracy’ CD Dec. 1 with upcoming CD release Twisted Measure has performed at Cantina Roble, Midnight Meals and local schools. “’Barefoot and Beautiful’ was a great first CD for Twisted Measure. However, it was recorded in three days and edited' and mixed in about a month. The group decided that we wanted to put out a bet ter product so we decided to'take our time with the process in order to produce the most quality CD we could,” said sen ior Brian Hecker.
