I can truthfully expound that this year's Student Government Association has been characterized by cooperativeness, mutual and conc^enial relations with the faculty and adininistration, dynamic and Inquisitive mental processes by many students in order to aid Student Government, a sense-of responsibility and a desire for comm.unication with the Student Government leaders in or-der to understand Student Governmint problems,, For the past three vears the Student 'TJovernr’ient h-'S '^:rovjn ’’’y leaps and bounds; but this voar's Student Government, appears as 'a' ^iant In comparison to all other years, ^''^ore students hove psrti cipated in Student Government Affairs than ever before. I attribute the mult'plvln^ partic■pation of our students to my administration's "Open Door P ’^icy." This year almost ev^^ry project we have initiated has been in a sense h'Id ud befor. a mirror through the medium of The Campus Grier so that the student 'I'od''', facult'''' and admin istration v;ere coT.pletely' informed at all t m-s. 3y keepinp; a.ll of )ur functions before the eyes of ^vervone conn^rcted vrith alon College each individual has had a thorou'j'h understandin?.; of this years t7,oals. B-:cause they have had an understanding, each person has oeen verv coopc.rative when he or she was called upon to aid our organization in almost any possible way. ^ ' I definitely feel that tnis year we ha e had fewer probl'ems than ever before because of the smooth functioning of this year's Student Government ' Association. When we had a problem tne oest solution was sought af ter' until found. A good example is as follows: Many students comiplainsd about our exam schedules claiming that they were too short for a student to do nis' ; best work or all of his exam's. I appointed a committee of ten stuoents to invefiti.p;ate the matter and make any recommendations it deemed advisable. After the committee's investigation it subirritted its recommendations to the • Student Affairs Committee (A joint facult'^- and student committee) ijhich, in ' (continued on page 2) ELECrrONS HELD ¥ith election time in full ST-Ting, officers for the following clubs and organizations have been chos en, thus far: TheElon Players: Tyrone Rowell, Pres.
