by David Johnson Yes, after a positively atrocious length of time, vie proudly (?) present the first issue of the 1967-68 Campus Crier. Now maybe people will stop asking me "When is the Crier coming out?"—for a few days, anyway. I must confess that I alone am to blame for this delay, having spent perhaps too much time on a certain notorious column in the Maroon and Gold. However, I hereby repent of this sin and promise to dedicate more effort to the Crier. which, after all, is my favorite campus publication. Several of our veteran writers are back a- gain, along with a number of new contribu tors with fresh ideas and opinions. Unfor tunately, we have not received any articles from freshmen, but I hope some of them will come through for the Christmas issue. You will notice in this issue tv;o "name with held" articles; this bothers many of our readers, but it is part of our policy to print such pieces, as long as we know who wrote them. Let me hasten to add that Yours Truly had nothing to do with either of these articles, although I take overall responsibility for publishing them. And now to a very unpleasant subject. You may recall Coach "Red" Wilson's open letter to students, in which he noted the poor at tendance at our Homecoming pep rally and
