For some time, Elon College has provided a grgat many teachers for the schools of Bur- ington. This handy well of talent will become dry to Burlington in the future, be cause there are just too many tempting of- ers elsewhere for those who are just starting out in life or are supporting a growing family. Only those who are not ac ceptable to other school systems will be content to take such meager salaries. In concluding, I would like to wish a Merry ristmas to all, and especially to the c 1 ren of Burlington. A Happy New Year IS alsc hoped for. Who knows? Maybe next year, the people of Burlington will not hate children. Free-wheeling, apathe tic students are attacked and criticized by ose who retain some semblance of honesty. ■t-v. niay seem an attempt to shift he blame from the students, I shall pro- cee to attack a sacred cow which trods upon our muddied values, and strike deeper into the reasons for cheating.
