You made a direct attack on one of the most hard-working coaches in this state. "Red" Wilson came here to create a winning team out of one that won only one out of ten games last year. That's one thing you failed to mention. You are right when you say there are sev eral ways to express school spirit. Among these are SGA dances. Liberal Arts Forum programs, Lyceum concerts and SGA concerts. These programs are needed at every college to give a well-rounded education. Sports ^re also needed at every college to give the chance to fight for the excitement of a Win or to learn to take the disappointment of a loss. ^f you don't play football, then you will niiss the chance of receiving Charlies, stone bruises, or a half-inch gash in your head that might require twenty stitches. You will also miss out on a chance to bring pride to your school. You will miss quite ^ lot of pure physical labor—and maybe a chance to bring your school national recog nition . ^y don't you get off your cross and get your nose out of a book long enough to try giving a little encouragement to our coach es and team. But I warn you that if you do you just might improve our school. Yours truly. Bob Hardee, Jr.
