a great contribution to science by the growth and development of this new scourge^ on food and may soon be swarming with striving young scientists who hope to classify a new bug and gain a position in the world. To stress another point, we must now turn to the problem of the professors who, being wise as owls, somewhat grace and somewhat deteriorate our beloved campus. Elon has in certain instances, become a home for the aged and the professional incompetents. Of course, there must be a certain amount of this on every campus as there is really no way of fighting it, but the question raised by many is whether Elon has too much for its own good. It might be noted that Elon has a prof who says that .0004 is 4x10“^. Any math major can tell you that once this has been drummed into one's head, it is hopeless to continue in any scientific endeavor. Eion also has a profes sor who is strictly black and white and read some-all-over and openly hates "them nigras a slightly bias (or should we say predjudice) viewpoint, especially when unleashed at stud ents; and a professor who bogs the student down with over tons of illogically construed religious and philosophic paraphenalia called notes. Elon also has a writing professor whose pencil broke when he came from the old country, but still desires recognition; and it possesses a dispossessed "man without a count ry" who wishes that Tom Sawyer's A-rabs had their Sunday school picnic in his back yard. However, Elon has several professors who cannot be forgotten - they are the true char- actors of the school. Of the two who come to mind, the first is a Miniver Cheevy, of sorts, who wishes that the Queen still ruled
