BRAGG FOB KilVG CEREMONY Dr. Charles “A” Lyons, Jr., Chancellor of Fayetteville State University, was the main speaker January 15, for the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial service held at the 82nd Airborne Division Memorial Chapel at Fort Bragg. Speaking before a packed audience of civilian and military personnel, Dr. Lyons spoke from a subject entitled “A Challenge For The Future.” The Chancellor was in troduced by Chaplain Aiken and LTC D. E. Williford, gave a historical note on the life of the late civil-rights leader. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Later in the evening, a movie on the life of the Atlanta-bom leader, “Mon tgomery to Memphis” was shown. Hen derson) FSIJ ANNOUNCES FIRST SEMESTER HONOR ROLL AND DEAN’S LIST Over 469 students at FSU have received academic honors for the first semester. Mrs. Alice Jones, Acting Registrar, recently released the honor roll and Dean’s List for the first semester 1975-76 with the city of Fayetteville and Cumberland leading the number of students on the honor roll and Dean’s List. The state of South Carolina was second with seven students with the rest of the areas including either one or three students from their respective states or cities.
