Clubs also provide excellent chances to work with the college faculty in overcoming problems. And let's not forget that clubs can be FUN. Cliiis recognized by the Student Government Association follow: NCAB (Multi-Cultural Association for Enrichment) The MCAE is an organization striving for the UNITY of ALL! Its chief ob,iectives are to promote the intellectual* career* social* and moral development of WCC students; to promote educational programs; and to assist with various student needs such as transportation information* financial advising* and tutorial assistance. AORiaiLTlIRB CLUB The Agriculture Club is striving to promote all facets of agriculture throughout the community. The club recently attended the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh* N.C. The club's State Fall Conference is on November 17 & 18 in Washington* N.C. The National Conference will be in March in Kansas City* Kansas. Dale Davis is Vice-President on the National Level. The club is currently gearing up to receive their Thanksgiving and Christmas basket donations. Its basic purpose is to provide opportunities for students to develop competencies for business and office occupations. The North Carolina State Chapter has nearly 1*500 members in over 42 local chapters at colleges and universities across the state. Phi Thcta Kappa The Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity is a nationally recognized scholastic organization whose purpose is to encourage scholarship in junior colleges. Upsilon Chi members are active in numerous campus and community service projects. They participate in state and national conventions and maintain close social ties with their fellow scholars on campus. Hying ffiaorw The Flying Bisons is a group of WCC students* faculty members, and staff who are interested in the theory and general application of flying and general aviation. The club also provides students the ability to obtain their pilot's license at a reduced rate. They have an instructor and a Cessna 150. Participation outside of WCC may be allowed only if student participation becomes low.
