Pie baking contest winners included Debbie Harris, place; Rosa Nilssen, 2”^^ place; Bradley O’Hara, 3-*^ place; Helen Bland, place. At 3:00 tickets were drawn for prizes, which included a CD player, gift certificates, a 20 inch TV and 2 WCC afghans. The Coke company brought its van to provide music and drinks for the students. Pepsi also provided beverages at the event. Student Joy Victoria Whittaker dressed as Grandma Joy circulated among students, faculty, and staff distributing discount cards from Papa John’s. Whittaker also does promotional work for Coca-Cola. Peggy Womble, WCC math instructor, said “I really enjoyed the event better this year because of the interaction with the students.” Student winners in the Dance Contest display their medals: from left, Earl Blair, Anita Mott, and Tivette Davis.
