Is there someone at WCC whom you would like to see get a pie in the face? This can become a reality instead of a dream. How? Attend the pie throw May 10th. (Location will be announced soon). Pies sell for 50c each. Come and have a “smashing” good time. At the request of many WCC students, the SGA declared Wednesday, April 24, Freak-In day. Dress of the teachers and students varied from “Clyde" to Mrs. Scroggs smoking a cigar. Other students (boys) wore red and black wigs; some came dressed as if they had just gotten through milking cows. Also, Little Red Riding Hood came. A few flower children showed up along with boys wearing home made ponchos. There were many others who are undescribablel Jim Lyall brought his uke to the Wilkesboro campus where he and two other students enter tained the sophomore English class with his original song of “Eodipus The King.” At the Woodlawn campus, love signs were on the teachers office and “Clyde" refereed a basket ball game. Eight o’clock Wednesday night the students held a hootenany with the Downbeats providing music.
