WHO’S WHO FROM WCC Shuford Selected As Enlisted Aid
The students pictured above
have been chosen as WCC's
representatives for Who’s Who
in American Junior Colleges.
Members were nominated by
the entire faculty and staff of
WCC, with the final selection
having been made by a special
committee composed of faculty,
staff and the president of the
SGA.
Each candidate’s nomination
was based on two guidelines:
(1) That he be a full time,
second year Technical or Col
lege Transfer student who will
participate in the May, 1972
graduation, and
(2) That he possess commend
able traits of citizenship, lead
ership, scholarship, participa
tion in college and community
activities, and show evidence of
future usefulness to society.
In the eyes of the selection
committee, the following stu
dents best exemplified these
characteristics. The staff of
the COUGAR CRY would like
to iextend to them their con
gratulations.

On June 7, 1969 Mr. Frank S.
Shuford, Jr. graduated from
Wilkes Community College
with an Associate in Applied
Science Degree in Agriculture
Business.
At present Specialist Shu-
f o r d, member of Ferguson
Grange in Wilkes County, has
been selected as Chaffeur and
Enlisted Aide for Major Gen
eral John Q. Henion, Command
ing General, U. S. Army Re
cruiting Command. The 22-
year-old specialist attended the
State Grange Youth banquet at
Apex where Governor Robert
Scott was the speaker. He is a
member of Beaver Creek Ad
ventist Christian Church where
he is active in church youth
fellowship.
