Personality Profile
To kick off a great fall quarter,
the COUGAR CRY has chosen to
enhance it’s first fiscal issue with a
profile of one of WCC’s most
charismatic personalities, David
Parker. Here’s the rundown:
As a sophomore here at Wilkes,
David is beginning his second year
of work as our student publica
tions photographer. Being a
novice with only one year of
experience, he has developed a
high degree of skill with his 35mm
camera and modern dark room
equipment. His high professional
standards and superior talent have
allowed him to utilize his
equipment in supplying us with
some superb newspaper and
annual pictures.
As for educational endeavors,
David is working in the college
transfer program, and is setting
his sights on an Associates in
Science degree. Subsequent to his
attainment of this degree, David
hopes to enter NC State
University in quest of a BS degree
in electrical engineering. He
possesses an ultimate goal of a
lucrative career with Duke Power
Corp. With his fine academic
work from last year, David should
have no trouble manifesting these
plans on his road to success.
David also holds the office of
Treasurer within the SGA and
serves on the Student Government
Executive Council. He has an
excellent reputation with last
year’s SGA and will invariably
serve efficiently in the coming
year.
If you haven’t had the pleasure
of meeting David, make a special
effort to do so in the very near
future. He is one of the most
congenial members of our WCC
student body, and is an easy
friend to make. He’s really not
hard to find either. Just keep an’
eye out for the fellow with the
camera around his neck, and the
conspicuous trail of ladies
following in adoration.
