He comes around on February 14th each year, looking to draw his bow and plunge an arrow right through someone’s heart. So if you feel a tin gling sensation, a certain urge to do something romantically sweet, or you just feel like yelling out loud, then you know without a doubt that Cupid has struck once again. What is Valentine’s Day? Most people think that it is just another day, but is it? Heck no!!! It is a time to be with a person that you care about. It is a day to send someone that you like a rose, a card, or just a little message showing how much you care. If you were to walk around the campus at WCC, you would notice that love has taken its toll, as couples stroll hand in hand experiencing the virtues of love. I conducted a survey about Valen tine’s Day to students and teachers at WCC. Here was their response: How did you meet your valentine? • I met him at Yesterday’s in the mall. At the first sight, he swept my heart away. — Jane Doe. • We were childhood sweethearts. His best friend bet him a dollar to sit with me on the bus — Vicki Nichols. • I told his sister that I wanted to go out with him, so she got him to ask me out. We’ve been together ever since — Linda Minton. • I met her at a high school basket ball game. I knew then that it was love at first sight — Coot Gilreath. • I took a chance on a blind date; it just happened that we ended up get ting married — Patricia Riley. • 1 met her cruising around town. I never yell at girls, I usually just ride around with my friends and keep quiet, but this girl was different. I saw her and I just had to yell, "OOh baby, you look good!” — Jamie Owens. • We had chemistry together in high school. I knew then that there was something special about he. I know now that she was meant for me — Jonathan White. • I met him on the 4th of July. My friends and I were sitting in town and a couple of guys pulled up to watch the fireworks with us. It was really roman tic watching the rockets explode in the sky above us — Andrea Bullock. So if you haven’t met your valentine yet, maybe Valentine's Day will be your lucky day. — Donald Keys
