Second quarter students who are working full or part time should see Betty Brame about Cooperative Education. This program will show you how to earn academic credit while working in jobs which are related to your program of study. All students can be assisted by Betty in the job placement area, so see her in Hayes Hall room 214. There are programs of study that will fit every interest. You may choose Art, Building Construction, Business Programs and courses. Hotel- Restaurant, Drama, Automotive Mechanics and Automotive Repair, Elec tronics, Nursing, Dental, Criminal Justice, Electromechanical, Radio Broad casting, Medical Assisting, Early Childhood, and several College Transfer Programs. The College Transfer Programs are quality and are accepted at the Universities throughout the nation. Make the very best investment of your time of study. Your academic success is extremely important to your future. We all assure each of you that if you work diligently, the awards will follow with dispatch. Again, the college welcomes you! We believe you have made a wise choice in coming to Wilkes Community Colleges New Student Activities Coordinator She comes from Boone, North Caro lina where she completed her Master’s in Student Development at Appa lachian State University. She believes that the high student contact is the most rewarding aspect of Student Ac tivities. Some of her favorite types of activities include outdoor recreation, service projects, and musical enter tainment. She began her college career in Charlotte, NC and then completed her AA degree at Polk Community College in Lakeland, Florida. She con tinued on as a transfer student and completed her BA degree in Art Educa tion at the University of South Flor ida. Kaylynn loves to travel to foreign countries, photography, wood work ing, camping, scuba diving, good movies, and working with students!
